About Project
The Goha-Khelleni section on NH 244 in Doda district, Jammu & Kashmir, is a critical infrastructure project aimed at improving road connectivity in a challenging hilly region. Overseen by the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL), the project involves upgrading 9.466 km of road, including a 7.450 km stretch from Km 12+850 to Km 20+300 and a 2.016 km link road to Goha Village. This project is being executed under the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) mode by the joint venture of Oasis VIPL and Infra Projects.
The scope includes upgrading the road to a two-lane configuration with paved shoulders to enhance traffic flow and road safety. Given the region’s difficult terrain and weather conditions, advanced construction techniques, such as bituminous concrete, dense bituminous macadam, and paver-laid road surfaces, are being utilized. The project is expected to improve connectivity within Doda, providing better access to remote areas and contributing to socio-economic development.The total contract amount is 118.40 crore INR (excluding GST). The upgraded road will benefit local residents, commuters, tourists, and goods transport, enhancing regional development and reducing travel time in the area.
